TEAD has provided high quality, integrated programming to children and youth for over 45 years. Days at Camp Wrangler are filled with creative play, adaptive games, outdoor recreational activities and adventure, and daily riding and horsemanship lessons – perfect for any young horse lover! TEAD is located on 93 acres of forest, trails, and open spaces to explore. Campers will spend the majority of their time out in the fresh air, in our indoor riding arena, and the club house (reserved for rainy days).
Camp Wrangler is for all children, with or without disabilities, between the ages of 6-16.
Team of Therapy Horses
TEAD’s horses have all been chosen for their calm and friendly nature and trained for use in therapeutic and recreational riding lessons. Perfect for both beginner and intermediate riders, our horses will quickly become your best friends.
Qualified Staff
Your children are in great hands at Camp Wrangler. Our camp is under the direction of our Camp Coordinator, and daily activities are developed and implemented by our team of experienced camp counsellors. All our CanTRA (Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association) accredited instructors and camp staff are certified in First Aid and CPR.
NOTE: If your child requires a 1-on-1 support, please contact troton@tead.on.ca. TEAD is offering one spot per week for campers that require a 1-on-1. If your camper has an Individual Educational Plan (IEP) that has been developed elsewhere that you would like to share with us, please include this with your registration or email to troton@tead.on.ca. The more information about your child you can give us, the more successful their experience at camp will be!
How to know if your child requires 1:1 support?
**All campers must have control of bowel and bladder, as our facilities and staff are not equipped to care for campers who require regular support in these areas.
**Please see our medication administration policy if your child requires medication during camp hours
Our team is here to help you explore programs and find the right path forward.
