Each client is thoroughly assessed and given a specialized 12-week treatment plan most beneficial for their needs and goals. Moving beyond a clinical setting, these services in partnership with our horses add additional layers of depth to therapy, fostering growth, connection, and strength.

Often referred to as ‘hippotherapy’, it is used to help individuals improve motor skills, balance, coordination, posture, core strength, and sensory processing. The movement and calming presence of the horse provides unique physical and sensory feedback that can be beneficial for individuals with a variety of conditions, such as developmental delays, physical disabilities, or neurological disorders. Mounted OT is especially effective for individuals who struggle with balance, strength, or body awareness, as the rhythmic movement of the horse mimics the motion of walking and encourages natural postural alignment. |

**Medical Forms MUST be completed prior to booking this session** Our Horse Simulator Occupational Therapy Program provides the therapeutic benefits of three-dimensional equine movement (using a mechanical horse) in a fully indoor, controlled environment. This program is ideal for clients who need a predictable environment, are preparing for mounted sessions, or benefit from year-round accessibility. The horse simulator is well-suited for children, youth, and adults who need support with core strength, confidence, balance, coordination, sensory & emotional regulation, attention, planning, and executive functioning. It is especially helpful for clients with autism, ADHD, motor coordination challenges, developmental delays, and anxiety around live horses. Contraindications: The simulator may not be appropriate for individuals with uncontrolled seizures, severe vestibular sensitivities that trigger nausea or dizziness, significant orthopedic conditions that limit safe sitting posture, or acute injuries affecting the spine or pelvis. It is also contraindicated for individuals who cannot tolerate gentle movement or who have medical restrictions against simulated riding positions. |
| Caregiver Coaching and Education | 45 min | $120 | Our online & in-person Caregiver Coaching sessions provide families with practical, individualized strategies to support their child’s emotional regulation, sensory needs, daily routines, transitions, independence, and overall development. Sessions may include modelling techniques, reviewing real-life scenarios, troubleshooting challenges, and creating simple, realistic plans that fit the family’s routines. |
| Treatment Plan Update | 30 min | $45 | These meetings occur on the 10th session and provide dedicated time for the OT and caregiver to review progress, celebrate achievements, ensure therapy goals remain meaningful and relevant, and identify areas where continued support may be beneficial. Together, the OT and family explore next steps, adjust goals, determine the most appropriate type and frequency of service moving forward, or discuss if the child is approaching readiness for discharge. |
